Iraqi Ambassador meets Chairman CDA, pledges to strengthen bilateral ties


ISLAMABAD, Aug 01 (APP): In a significant move to bolster bilateral relations, Hamid Abbas Lafta, the Ambassador of Iraq, met with Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Mohammad Ali Randhawa on Thursday.

The meeting highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iraq.

During the discussion, a proposal to name a street in the diplomatic enclave after Baghdad was explored, symbolizing the strong bond between the two nations.

Furthermore, the Chairman CDA extended an invitation to the Ambassador to participate in the Margalla Hills plantation drive, which was warmly accepted.

The Embassy of Iraq has pledged full support for the Margalla Hills Plantation Campaign, underscoring their commitment to environmental cooperation.
