ISLAMABAD, Aug 02 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday expressed grief over the losses of lives and properties in rain-related incidents took place different parts of the country.
Conveying condolences to the families of the deceased, the president stressed the need for accelerated relief activities, according to a President House press release.
He also called for taking precautionary measures to protect the lives and prevent other rain-related accidents, besides emphasizing the administration to take timely preventive measures and ensure drainage of rainwater.
President Zardari prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed souls and patience for the bereaved families to bear the loss.
