Chief Commissioner for independent financial audit of IESSI

ISLAMABAD, Aug 02 (APP):Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Friday directed an independent financial audit of IESSI through a third-party firm, improving health and safety standards across Islamabad’s labor sector.
The Chief Commissioner while chairing the 16th meeting of the Governing Body of the ICT Employees Social Security Institution (IESSI) asked for consideration of a proposal to provide medical benefits to employees immediately upon employer registration, eliminating the three-month waiting period.
The meeting, attended by IESSI’s Governing Body Members and Commissioner Rabia Aurangzeb, focused on the institution’s financial position, activities, and performance.
The Chief Commissioner directed that a notification be issued to all employers, mandating the submission of their contribution percentage and making trade license issuance contingent upon IESSI registration and contribution.
Randhawa also directed IESSI to survey Islamabad-based employers, issue notices to unregistered businesses, and engage with employers and trade unions to encourage registration.
He emphasized the need for better healthcare services, leveraging Punjab IT Board’s expertise to digitize IESSI activities, and ensuring high-rated labs are associated with IESSI.
